Coca-Cola Launches ShareCoke Campaign in Zimbabwe

COCA-COLA officially launched its ShareCoke campaign in Zimbabwe at a local hotel on Friday, a move aimed at encouraging people to share meaningful moments with friends and family.

The campaign, which was previously run over a decade ago, features personalised bottles with names, allowing customers to share a Coke with their loved ones.

According to Barry Otieno, Coca-Cola’s Frontline Manager for Zimbabwe and Malawi, the ShareCoke campaign is designed to bring people together and create lasting memories.

“ShareCoke is an opportunity for everyone to create those meaningful connections with their friends, family, and loved ones,” Otieno said.

The campaign features bottles with names printed on them, which can be purchased and shared with friends and family. Otieno said that the idea is to make people feel special and valued.

“Imagine a friend walking up to you with a bottle written your name. How would you feel?” he asked.

“That’s the exact feeling that we want to spark across Zimbabwe.”

The ShareCoke campaign is part of Coca-Cola’s efforts to refresh and make a difference in the lives of its customers. Otieno said that the campaign is true to the company’s mission and values.

“It’s true to our mission where we are out to refresh and make a difference in the world,” he said.

The launch of ShareCoke in Zimbabwe has generated excitement among customers, with many eager to get their hands on the personalised bottles. Otieno added that the campaign is a reminder to a new generation of young people who missed out on the campaign the first time around.

“Bringing it back and bringing it back to Zimbabwe is reminding those young guys of this amazing campaign that we ran over a decade ago,” he said.

The ShareCoke campaign is expected to run for several weeks, with Coca-Cola encouraging customers to share their experiences on social media using a branded hashtag. The company hopes that the campaign will bring people together and create lasting memories.

“We’re really saying, you know, look for your friends’ names, look for your family’s names. We have names across the different packs that you can go purchase and share with your friends and families,” he said.

The ShareCoke campaign is a key part of Coca-Cola’s marketing strategy in Zimbabwe, and the company is confident that it will resonate with customers. With its unique approach to personalised marketing, Coca-Cola is hoping to make a lasting impression on its customers and create meaningful connections that will last a lifetime.

The launch was punctuated with live music performance from top drawer artists, Nutty O and Travellers Band with food and drinks helping to warm up with night.
