Carling Black Label National Pool Championship Set for Bulawayo
BULAWAYO is gearing up for one of the biggest days on Zimbabwe’s sporting calendar as the Carling Black Label National Pool Championship reaches its grand finale this Saturday, 9 August, at the ZITF grounds, Hall 1.
The road to the finals has been nothing short of intense. Since 31 May, the country has witnessed 31 regional qualifiers, each packed with nail-biting matches as players fought for top spot in the national finals. The top 74 men and 74 women across Zimbabwe to battle it out for glory.
With a total prize pool that could make any pool player’s cue hand shake, the rewards are as impressive as the talent on display. Champions in both the men’s and women’s categories will walk away with USD 2,500 and their very own pool table. Second place will take home USD 1,500, third place USD 1,000, and fourth place USD 500.
The entertainment lineup promises to keep spirits high throughout the day. Bulawayo’s DJ Tino, DJ Mateu, and DJ Papito will keep the crowd moving, while The Travellers Band and DJ Nospa will close the event with a lively finale.
