DESTINY for Afrika Network (DANET) has unveiled a housing initiative that blends affordable homeownership with economic empowerment for Christians across Zimbabwe.
The program, spearheaded by Founding President Dr Reverend Obediah Musindo, aims to position the church as a driver of entrepreneurship and community development.
“Christians owning their own homes is rooted in the Bible, especially in matters of inheritance,” the Reverend said.
“There must be a spirit of ownership regarding houses, companies, and natural resources.”
The scheme offers residential stands on generous discounts and flexible five-year payment terms, giving thousands of believers the chance to secure a home.
But housing is only one part of DANET’s vision. The organisation is also equipping pastors and Christians with leadership training, business skills, and vocational opportunities.
“Let’s work together as the church and contribute to the success of Vision 2030,” Musindo urged.
Plans include building 12,000 residential stands for new church hubs, 50,000 for church leaders, and more than 200,000 for Christians nationwide. These hubs will also serve as centres for job creation, relief services, and skills development.
The man of the cloth emphasised the importance of pastors adopting a new mindset.
“Too often, pastors become destitute when removed from the pulpit,” he said.
“They need empowerment to redefine their roles. They must pray, act, fast, work, preach, and run businesses.”
