Glamis hosts Chibuku Road To Fame National Finals

CHIBUKU Road To Fame Finals are scheduled for Harare’s Glamis Arena on November 9 with the winning outfit taking home $15 000 plus a recording contract.

The second placed group gets $10 000 while number three receives $7 000 to walk into the festivities with spring.

This year’s winners from the country’s 10 Provinces battling for honours are The Cousins an Afro-fusion group from Midlands, Mashonaland Central’s Shanty Town (Afro-fusion), Outlaws from Harare (Afro-fusion), Matebeleland South’s Fugees band (Sungura) and Pilgrims of Christ Trade a Gospel group from Mashonaland East.

The other five are Bulawayo’s Tawedzegwa (Sungura), Matebeleland North’s Kweseka (Afro-fusion), Manicaland’s Vibrant band (Afro-fusion), Mashonaland West’s Boom Jazz (Afro-fusion) and Panhimbe Crew an Afro-fusion band from Masvingo.

Entry is free, gates open at 10am till late. Last year’s Chibuku Road to Fame winners 911 Band are set to make guest performance while high-ridding artists such as Freeman, Feli Nandi, Chillspot Family and Master H are also scheduled to make guest performances.

The 2024 Chibuku Road to Fame edition began on the 28th of September with the provincial finals.
