FOR one lucky Zimbabwean household, buying a bottle of Mazoe Crush has permanently solved their energy woes.
Schweppes Limited has concluded its nationwide Mazoe Magic Buy & Win campaign, handing over a grand prize of a comprehensive solar power system to a lucky consumer on Thursday at their premises in Harare, amidst a prize pool valued at over US$80,000.
The campaign ran from July to October, required customers to buy any 2-litre bottle of Mazoe and submit their receipt for a chance to win.
The promotion, designed to reward loyalty during a challenging economic climate, saw thousands of participants vying for household essentials and luxury items. Beyond the grand prize, winners walked away with gas stoves a vital asset for many families as well as refrigerators, PlayStation 5 consoles, and year-long supplies of the drink.
Schweppes Holding Africa Managing Director Stanley Muchenje told attendees at the prize-giving ceremony that the campaign was about reciprocity.
“We wanted to give back to the people who keep this brand alive,” Muchenje said. “All the consumer had to do was buy a 2-litre Mazoe, fill in a form, and drop it in the box.”
The response was overwhelming. Activations at 371 business centres across the country drove a massive uptake, with the company recording sales of 121,000 hectolitres.
“This promotion has been a huge success and really speaks to just how much Mazoe is loved,” Muchenje added, promising that the company intends to continue rewarding loyal families into 2026.
