
A fire broke out at MedTech Chicago Cosmetics’ Ruwa production facility early Tuesday morning, temporarily disrupting operations.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.
Group Marketing Manager Gashirai Nyemba stated that the company is still assessing the extent of the damage.
“We’re working with relevant authorities to determine the cause and value of items lost,” he told NewsOnLine.
Despite the incident, MedTech Chicago Cosmetics has assured the market of continued business operations.
“We have implemented contingency plans to ensure a steady supply of our products,” Nyemba reassured.
The company manufactures a range of personal, hair, and home care products, including Softn’free, Satiskin, and Clere. Nyemba confirmed that investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, and the company is cooperating fully with authorities.
In a statement, MedTech Chicago Cosmetics expressed gratitude for the safety of everyone involved and commitment to delivering quality products and services.
“Our teams are working diligently to minimise any potential impact,” the statement read.
Operations at the facility are expected to continue with minimal disruption, ensuring that customers remain unaffected by the incident.
