Palestine Condemns Israeli Massacres In Northern Gaza Hospital

AMBASSADOR of Palestine to Zimbabwe Dr Tamer Almassri today condemned the Israeli forces for attacking the large major health facility Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza adding the attack killed at least five healthcare workers and destroyed ambulances.

The diplomat rebuked the arrest and torturing of 350 hospital staff together with the director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital hospital Dr Hussam Abu Safiyya, and demanded the release of doctors and health workers he said are detained in Israeli prisons.

In a statement, Almassri said the Israeli military action in Gaza continues because the international community has turned a blind eye against it. He implored the international body to take action and stop the conflict in the Gaza enclave.

“The Israeli occupation’s persistence in its crimes is largely due to the silence of the International community regarding the ethnic cleansing and massacres taking place therefore the international community must assume its legal and moral responsibilities, and oblige the occupying state to immediately stop its ongoing aggression against Gaza.

“We call on the international community and the UN Security Council to take decisive steps to end these violations, which not only constitute serious and blatant violations of International law but also pose a serious threat to regional and international peace and security, ” he said.

According to Almassri, over the past year, Israeli forces detained more than 600 health workers from various specialities, and approximately 1 060 health workers have been killed.

Since the start of the genocide after the October 7 attack the Israeli military action in Gaza has killed more than 45 300 people and 70 percent of them are children, women and civilians.
