SCOTTLAND FC players are set to earn a US$2,000 bonus each if they can clinch a 6-0 victory over Harare City in Saturday’s Northern Region Soccer League match, as the club intensifies efforts in a title race that could be decided by goal difference with only three games remaining.
With the stakes high, Scotland FC President Pedzai “Scott” Sakupwanya has issued the challenge, urging his team to secure a big-margin win against one of the league’s toughest teams. If Scotland scores beyond six goals, they’ll earn an extra US$200 for each additional goal, bringing a 7-0 victory to US$2,200 per player and an 8-0 win to US$2,400 each.
Scotland recently celebrated a 5-1 victory over DZ Royal Stars, which came with a US$1,500 bonus, and now sits in second place with 75 points—one point behind league leaders MWOS FC, who lead with 76 points. Scotland holds a game in hand, while Black Rhinos are third with 68 points.
The high-stakes showdown, set at Mkushi Academy, could tip the scales in one of the most fiercely contested NRSL seasons yet.
