ZCC Superstars TK Masiko and Nicky Mutendi Blend Voices in Powerful Gospel Collaboration
RENOWNED philanthropist ZCC gospel star Takudzwa “TK” Masiko has joined forces with upcoming Afro-fusion gospel musician Nicky Mutendi to release a single titled “Ndega Handikundi”, which is accompanied by a video.
TK Masiko told Entertainment & Arts reporter Prince Meke that the song encourages someone facing difficult situations in life that if he or she believes in God everything will turn to their favor.
“Basically, Ndega Handikundi is an encouraging song that one can play enjoying with family as it gives courage to people who would have lost faith.
“This song potrays the importance of praying and having faith in God. Everyone in life experience that moment of giving up but the purpose of the song is to promote society to have faith that every difficult situation can be overcomed through God.
The Zvinoda Kunamata hitmaker said he used a different style in his new song which is a fusion of word play and rhymes.
“The tactical part about this song is it’s unusual and unexpected in the sense that we have a singing style which includes word play and rhymes. Using my style and experience blending in the newcomer Nicky Mutendi of afro beats gospel fans should expect a great song,” TK Masiko said.
“Normally when people hear Jah Master they will be expecting word play on which does not include singing type of style.”
The Masvingo based musician went to highlight that fans were going to love his new track and will be released on the 4th of October.
“I know people are going to love this song as we shall release the song with a video and they are going to vibe. Its vibe for a while. Expect more what you have ever heard my fans,” he said.
“This is because we took our time in making this new song.
“It took us a month to come up with this song, we took our time listening to our instrument and to come up with ideas and till to the point we choose our title Ndega Handikundi which is being produced by Eland Studios under Ishmael Mupinga.”
TK Masiko has been gaining recognition for his hit songs, including collaborations such as “Chema nhamo” featuring Innocent Chidamajaya Munondo, “Handide kudzokera shure,” “Zvinoda Kunamata,” “Gehena handidi,” featuring Gwinyai Gwimbo.
He also mentioned that there are other songs which are coming up featuring top decorated artist in the country after the collaboration with Nicky Mutendi.
“Its not going to be Ndega Handikundi alone. The best is yet to come. Me and my management together with a calibre of producers we have worked on other songs which will be released some later time this year.
TK Masiko said that he was setting his goals this year.
