Following the conclusion of their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign, the Chevrons find themselves in a logistical stalemate, with their primary transit hub of Dubai effectively bypassed by shifting flight paths and regional instability.
ZC confirmed the disruption in a late-night dispatch, assuring stakeholders that while the team is “safe and well,” the return itinerary has been scrapped in favour of emergency alternatives.
“The squad is safe and well in India,” ZC stated. “The ICC has activated contingency measures and is working with international carriers to secure alternative travel arrangements.”

The ICC has since activated its Global Logistics Contingency Plan, pivoting from standard commercial routes to secure safe passage for the travelling party.
ZC is in constant communication with the ICC and team management to ensure the squad’s safe and timely return.
However, no further details on specific alternative travel plans have been released. Updates will follow as more information becomes available, but the priority remains a “zero-risk” transit strategy over a quick departure.
The development has left fans and officials anxiously awaiting the team’s return, with a wave of solidarity sweeping across social media as supporters express their concerns for the stranded squad.
