Sekunjalo MaAfrica Takes Top Spot at Chibuku Neshamwari Bulawayo Finals

CHIBUKU Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival brought music, colour, and joy to Bulawayo as local dance groups competed in the provincial finals over the weekend.

Sekunjalo MaAfrica came out on top, winning first place with their powerful performance of the Umzansi dance. The group showed great energy, timing, and traditional style, which impressed the judges and the crowd. They will now go on to represent Bulawayo at the national finals in July.

Isizwe Sabatha took second place with the lively and energetic Wosana dance, while Bambanani Dance Group finished in third place after performing the popular Isitshikitsha dance.

The event was full of excitement, with fans cheering on their favourite groups. Many said it was a great way to celebrate Bulawayo’s culture and bring the community together.

The Chibuku Neshamwari Festival continues to move from province to province, giving dance groups a chance to shine and share Zimbabwe’s rich traditions.
