CZR Honour Newsonline Reporter for Excellence in Retail and Consumer Affairs Coverage

NEWSONLINE reporter Prince Meke has won the Best Media Impact Award in the Retail, Wholesale and Consumer Affairs Category at the Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CZR) Awards on Friday.

Speaking during the announcement, CZR president Dr Denfold Mutashu said the confederation deliberately targets professionals from various sectors to empower them with diplomatic competencies that contribute to nation-building.

“It is our policy to choose actors in the media and recognise them by these awards, which helps them to sharpen up their writing skills in stories that develop the country,” said Dr Mutashu.

Expressing his gratitude, Meke said the award would add depth to his journalistic work.

“I am honoured to receive this award,” he said.

“As a journalist, winning awards is crucial; it boosts morale and motivation while providing credibility and trust to the stories I write. This specific recognition will not only enhance my reporting but also help me contribute to a better-informed public discourse.”
