CASTLE BRAAI FEST RETURNS TO GLAMIS ARENA ON OCTOBER 17
THE much-anticipated Castle Braai Fest is set to return to Glamis Arena on 17 October, promising a bigger and better experience for braai and music lovers.
Organisers are yet to disclose the full line-up of artists billed to perform on the day, but social media is already abuzz with speculation and requests.
Fans have taken to Castle Lager’s official pages demanding that dancehall giant Winky D be named headliner after his stellar performance at last year’s edition. Others have called for Chimurenga music legend Thomas Mapfumo, who recently returned to Zimbabwe after being invited to perform at Jah Prayzah’s wedding, to be included on the bill.
Castle Lager has hinted that this year’s edition will surpass last year’s. On its official social media pages, the brewer said fans should expect “the best of the best, more than what they did last year.”
Last year’s Braai Fest featured South African star Heavy K alongside local chart-toppers Nutty O, Master H, Tammy Moyo, Enzo Ishall and Chillspot Family duo DJ Fantan and Levels.
Tickets are already on sale for $10, inclusive of a braai pack and Castle Lager beers.
The Braai Fest has become one of Zimbabwe’s biggest social events, blending meat, music and beer culture, and this year’s edition is expected to draw thousands to the Glamis Arena.
