Harare Set to Host Zimbabwe’s Biggest DJ Battle

AFTER a gruelling search across eight regions and a thorough review of over 350 mixed tapes, the top 25 DJs in Zimbabwe have been selected to compete in the national finals of the Carling Black Label DJ Clash.
The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place on December 20th at the Hippodrome in Braeside, Harare.
Reigning champion, DJ Irvene X, will be back to defend his title against a talented pool of finalists, all vying for the coveted title of National Carling Black Label Champion DJ. The stakes are high, with a prize pool of over USD 15,000 up for grabs. The winner will take home a staggering USD 3,000, along with a state-of-the-art controller, an Apple MacBook, a studio monitor, and a cordless mic. The runner-up will receive USD 2,000, a studio monitor, and a cordless mic.
This year’s event promises to be a thrilling spectacle, with a lineup of guest artists set to perform. Saint Floew, Voltz, and ChillSpot (represented by Levels) will go head-to-head against Mushroom Media (represented by DJ Tamuka) in a battle of Zimdancehall and Hip-hop sounds.
