MWANAWEVHU WELCOMES PRESIDENTIAL WOMAN’S LEAGUE EMPOWERMENT FUND

MWANAWEVHU Culture for Economic Development, a ZANU PF affiliate has welcomed the launch of the Presidential Woman’s Legue Empowerment Fund by His Excellency, President Emmerson Mnangagwa following the successful implementation of the Presidential Youth Fund, War Veterans Fund, which has already made a significant impact on the lives of the country’s liberation heroes.

The Presidential Woman’s League Empowerment Fund has been launched today in Harare. His Excellency President Mnangagwa has been instrumental in driving various empowerment schemes, including the War Veterans Rural Housing Scheme, which aims to provide housing for Zimbabwe’s heroes, and the Presidential Borehole Scheme.

On a sideline interview during the launch in Harare today with National Chairperson for Mwanawevhu Culture 4ED Ashleigh Zingoni highlighted that the President has woman at heart.

“The Presidential Empowerment Fund will go a long way in empowering woman, the majority of whom struggle to raise capital to start businesses.

“Due to the high rate of unemployment, entrepreneurship is the way to go and the fund will be pivotal in empowering woman to run their own businesses.

“With this initiative, President Mnangagwa is sending a clear message that woman are a priority and that his administration is committed to creating opportunities for them to thrive especially in agriculture equipment he has gifted woman of Zimbabwe,” she said.

This initiative is part of President ED Mnangagwa’s vision to empower young people and promote economic development in Zimbabwe. The President has demonstrated his commitment to supporting the country’s youth, and this fund is a significant step towards achieving this goal.

Speaking at the conference President Mnangagwa said this initiative will provide financial support to all woman across the country, enabling them to start businesses, pursue education and skills development, and contribute meaningfully to the economy

“The Woman League Presidential Empowerment Fund is expected to recognise women as the backbone of the nation’s progress and seeks to equip them with the tools to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy.

“It wil also focus on skills development and provide financial support for women-led projects in the manufacturing, mining, agriculture and tourism sectors. The fund will be distributed to provinces, ensuring that woman from all regions of Zimbabwe have access to this opportunity.

On a sideline interview with Mwanawevhu Culture 4ED Vice Chairperson Duncan Shereni welcomed the initiative saying the vision 2030 is already being achieved by President Mnangagwa.

“Our President really means business when it comes to his people. He is not just a president but a leader with people at heart. lam actually happy that this initiative will revamp our woman especially when it comes to farming as they also received mining equipment.

“We have witnessed the hand over of 10 vehicles and a 10 000-capacity incubators.

“Empowerment should benefit and unite party structures. President Mnangagwa will ensure that we hand over empowerment projects to the woman under the mantra of leaving no one and no place behind.”

He praised President Mnangagwa for being a listening leader who is committed to empowering everyone, including women.
