‘I WILL QUIT ALCOHOL’: KILLER T APOLOGISES FOR THREATENING AMBASSADOR’S FAMILY
ZIMDANCEHALL star Killer T has publicly apologised to Ambassador Kwame Tapiwa Muzawazi and his family after sending threatening and insulting voice notes following a dog attack incident.
The musician, who was arrested for cyberbullying, admitted in a lengthy statement that he sent the voice notes via WhatsApp on 4 October 2026 and has since withdrawn everything he said.
“I wish to unreservedly apologize to Ambassador Kwame Tapiwa Muzawazi as a person, the entire Muzawazi family and every Zimbabwean for my bad conduct. I admit to have sent Ambassador Muzawazi threatening, disrespectful and insulting words I can not type here,” Killer T said.
“I PUBLICLY RETRACT EVERYTHING I SAID AND SINCERELY APOLOGISE.”
Killer T said he was shocked when he listened to his own voice notes and admitted he was heavily intoxicated at the time, but said alcohol could never excuse his behaviour.
“I was shocked and could not even believe I had said those bad distasteful words and threats when I listened to the voice notes. I admit I have been abusing alcohol. I was heavily intoxicated at the material time but that is not an excuse. I should never have drunk alcohol to those levels in the first place. I take full responsibility and must be held accountable for my actions,” he said.
The apology follows a dispute linked to the death of a man who was mauled by dogs, which led to threats directed at Muzawazi’s family.
Killer T said he has damaged his reputation and personal brand and apologised to young people who look up to him, as well as his family, friends and supporters.
“This apology comes from the bottom of my heart. It is sincere,” he said.
He also revealed plans to quit alcohol completely and said he wants to use his experience to encourage others.
“I will quit alcohol,” he said, adding that alcohol abuse had affected his behaviour before.
On the impending court case, the musician said he will not waste the court’s time.
“As a sign of sincerity and genuine remorse I will be going to court pleading guilty to the charges. I can never deny or attempt to waste the court’s time,” he said.
