P Jays Drops Sizzling Reggae-Dancehall Collabo “Wakandibaya Moyo” with Jamal No Limits and Simba Gee

A new kid on the raggae and dancehall genre P Jays has collaborated with top Zimbabwean music producer Jamal No Limits of Nash TV studios and a renowned film video maker Simba Gee on the song titled Wakandibaya moyo.

P Jays, real name Phillip Chuma who was born in Mwenezi, Masvingo on 17 December 2003, said the track was set to be released at the end of this month.

In an interview with our Arts and Entertainment reporter Prince Meke today, P Jays said the track was meant to spread love among people, and encouraging love birds not to break each other’s heart that is why it carries the title Wakandibaya moyo (You broke my heart)

“I have done a single with Jamal No Limits of Nash Tv and the song is accompanied by a video filmed by Simba Gee.

“This song is inspired by love experiences one faces before founding what is called true love.

“Our main goal is to spread the word of love amongst Zimbabwean people, especially in this era of Mjolo (People hurting each others feelings)

“The track is a fusion of Afro-RnB and reggae genres and I think it is the first of its kind,” said P Jays.

He mentioned that once the song is released it will be on all social media platforms @pjayszw and planning to work with music promoters so as to gain more opportunities to perform liveshows for his visibility.

“I have hold live shows in some parts of the country such as Mwenezi, Gokwe, Bikita, Gutu and particularly in Harare where lam now based. Recently l performed in the city of Kings and Queens Bulawayo where partly of my upcoming music video was shot by Simba Gee a renowned film maker.

“If Gods permits l shall raise Zimbabwean flag high doing wonders in the world. Not scandals but producing good music,” he said.

He recently produced a song titled ‘Ndoita sei’ which features Decco beats the producer and the track won people’s hearts on national radio.

He has more ambitions to reach the world as he wishes to work with every artist to produce a good song for listeners

The Masvingo-born P Jays said music has always been his way of life.

“Way back in the days, I was part of the ZCC brass band and featured in school choirs at Hebron High School doing it for fun and refreshing my mind, but later discovered it’s my destiny,” said P Jays.

“My first ever stepping stone was at the studio named Eland Studios with producer Ishmael Mupinga in 2023 with the song ‘Cheuka vana vako’.

“That is where I started being a recording artist and it was a great opportunity for me because I managed to realise what I was really capable of doing through my God given talent.”
