NETONE has introduced a Value Bundle Promotion that offers 1GB of data for $1, valid until midnight on the day of purchase, in a move it says responds directly to customer demand for immediate, low-barrier connectivity.
The bundle can be activated via OneMoney or by converting airtime through 379#. Customers may purchase it multiple times per day. NetOne stated that the promotion will run until 31 May 2026.
The company described the product as a response to everyday gaps in access. In its statement, NetOne said users regularly face moments when communication is not optional, such as a student submitting coursework before the portal closes, a trader confirming payment with a supplier, or a parent arranging transport after plans change.
In those cases, the question becomes whether connectivity is instantly available and affordable. The $1 bundle is meant to address that specific need, giving subscribers a way to go online for essentials without buying larger packs they do not need.
Alongside the promotion, NetOne announced it is removing peak and off-peak data allocations from Mo’Gigs and Big Beautiful Bundles. From now on, data will be drawn from a single balance usable any time of day. Mo’Gigs are priced from 5GB for $7 to 50GB for $50, while Big Beautiful Bundles range from 100GB for $45 to 200GB for $130.
NetOne framed the changes as a practical simplification for customers who work irregular hours or depend on mobile data for safety, education and income. It said reliance on mobile money and airtime conversion, channels customers already use, ensures the bundle is easy to access nationwide.
