Castle Lager Turns Up the Heat for 2026 National Braai Day
DELTA Beverages has confirmed the return of the Castle Lager National Braai Day on October 17 at Glamis Arena in Harare, with organisers promising a bigger entertainment and lifestyle experience for this year’s edition.
The annual event, which has grown into one of the country’s major entertainment gatherings, will combine live music, braai activities, food and branded experiences.
Early-bird tickets went on sale this week through the official Castle Lager Zimbabwe platforms at US$10, while the full entertainment line-up is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
“Let’s light up the fires, set the vibe and bring moments to life with good music, friends and ice-cold Castle Lager,” Delta said in announcing the event.
Organisers are promising an expanded programme featuring leading local and regional musicians, grilling competitions and dedicated food zones showcasing different braai offerings.
The Glamis Arena will also be divided into various entertainment and relaxation zones as organisers seek to build on the popularity of previous editions.
Expectations will be high following last year’s event, which featured an extensive cast of local and regional musicians.
Winky D headlined the 2025 edition alongside Nutty O, Enzo Ishall, Ammara Brown, Tamy Moyo, Saintfloew, Master H, Qounfuzed, Nisha Ts and EXQ.
The Chillspot Family also featured, while South African acts Heavy K and DJ Tira added a regional flavour to the programme.
The diverse line-up brought together dancehall, Afro-pop and amapiano, setting a benchmark organisers will be hoping to surpass this year.
Beyond entertainment, National Braai Day has developed into a significant lifestyle event centred around Zimbabwe’s braai culture and social interaction.
The event has attracted a broad audience over the years while also providing opportunities for food vendors, transport operators, creatives and other businesses associated with the entertainment industry.
Castle Lager has progressively developed the concept from the traditional social braai into a large-scale annual gathering combining food, music and entertainment.
This year’s edition is restricted to people aged 18 and above, with organisers also emphasising responsible alcohol consumption.
Attention will now turn to the announcement of the 2026 entertainment line-up, which is expected to shape anticipation ahead of the October 17 gathering.
With early-bird tickets already on sale, Delta is looking to build momentum over the next few weeks as Glamis Arena prepares to host another edition of one of the country’s biggest braai and entertainment events.
