ZANU-PF Conference: US$4 Million Mobilized for Successful Event

THE 22nd National People’s Conference of Zanu-PF is set to kick off this week in Mutare, with President Mnangagwa leading the proceedings. The conference follows a Politburo meeting and Central Committee sitting in Harare.
Zanu-PF National Chairman, Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, announced that all preparations are in place, commending the host province of Manicaland for their exceptional work.
“They have surpassed all our expectations,” she said. Regalia has been delivered, and delegates will receive theirs before the conference.
The party has mobilized almost US$4 million for the conference, with US$2 million contributed by the party leadership.
“We have taken care of major expenses, including accommodation for delegates,” said Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri. Power supplies are assured, roads have been upgraded, and enough food has been secured. Balances remaining after feeding 5,000 delegates will be donated to hospitals, orphanages, and other institutions.
President Mnangagwa will commission the Mega Market Milling Plant, the Ministry of Health and Child Care-constructed National Pharmaceutical Warehouse, and launch the national tree-planting initiative.
The conference venue is set to be a hive of activity, with over 5,000 delegates attending.
The National Coordinating Committee, responsible for organizing the conference, met over the weekend and confirmed that everything is 100 percent ready.
“We are all ready to go,” said Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri. With preparations complete, all eyes are on Mutare for a successful conference.
