WINKY D CONFIRMED FOR CASTLE LAGER BRAAI FESTIVAL

ZIMDANCEHALL star Winky D has been confirmed among the headline performers for the Castle Lager National Braai Festival, ending speculation over his participation in the October 17 event at Glamis Arena in Harare.

Delta Beverages confirmed the Gafa’s inclusion in its latest announcement yesterday, following growing calls from fans who had questioned his absence from an earlier line up.

Winky D will share the stage with ExQ, Enzo Ishall and several other established and emerging artists as the annual festival brings together live music, braai and entertainment.

The programme will also feature Jnr Spragga, Atenda Chinx and DJ Loz, with more than 10 artists and DJs expected to perform.

Winky D’s confirmation comes after fans flooded the festival’s social media platforms with requests for the musician to be included.

Some had threatened to skip the event if he was left out, while others urged organisers to complete the line up with the popular Zimdancehall performer.

Organisers had kept fans guessing with a message suggesting that major announcements were still to come.

His inclusion now adds another attraction to an event that has become a fixture on Harare’s entertainment calendar.

Beyond the music, Delta Beverages has introduced new activities designed to give festivalgoers a more interactive experience.

One of the additions is the Castle Braai O’Clock activation, scheduled between 3pm and 4pm, which will feature a braai master contest and other competitions.

Participants will compete for Castle Lager merchandise and various prizes.

The company is also running promotional activities at selected braai venues across Zimbabwe ahead of the festival, giving consumers opportunities to win event tickets and other prizes.

Tickets are available through SahwiGate, with a limited number of early bird tickets selling for US$10 before the standard price of US$15 takes effect.

Each ticket includes admission, a braai pack and one litre of Castle Lager Draught.

The festival will also provide a platform for emerging musicians to perform alongside established names, with Delta Beverages positioning the event as part of its continued support for local music.
