Queen Nadia TV’s Mum’s Emotional Apology

IN a tearful video circulating online, Queen Nadia TV’s mother has issued a public apology to Zimbabweans over her daughter’s explicit Facebook videos. The mum, who claims she’s been bombarded with messages and visits from concerned citizens, says she’s “embarrassed, blamed, and distressed” by the backlash.
“I am very embarrassed as a mother,” she says, her voice shaking. “People are sending me WhatsApp messages every day, showing me the videos of my daughter and telling me to counsel her.”
The videos in question feature Queen Nadia TV briefly exposing herself on camera, and have sparked a national debate. The mum says she’s tried to counsel her daughter, but Queen Nadia TV allegedly told her “This is where her bread is buttered”.
“I advised her many times,” she says. “But my words fell on deaf ears. I thought she would listen to me, but I guess I was wrong.”
The apology has sparked mixed reactions online, with some questioning whether a parent should apologise for an adult child’s actions. “She’s an adult, why is mum taking the fall?” tweeted one user.
Others are wondering if the mum is genuine or just seeking attention. “Is this a publicity stunt?” asked another.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe’s Broadcasting Authority (BAZ) has reiterated its warning to social media content creators, saying explicit content will not be tolerated. The authority’s Acting CEO, Eng. Matthias Chakanyuka, emphasised that digital content consumed in Zimbabwe remains subject to national law.
