Ngezi Platinum Stars Announce 2nd Annual Golf Day

WHAT began as a simple club fundraising idea is fast turning into a corporate networking fixture, as Ngezi Platinum Stars prepare to host the second edition of their Golf Day at Mulota Hill Golf Club on 31 July.

The event, which debuted last year, is being repositioned as a strategic meeting point for Zimbabwe’s mining, business and sporting communities, with organisers saying interest has grown significantly ahead of this year’s tournament.

The organising committee has already opened entries for four-ball teams and corporate sponsorship packages, allowing companies to either compete on the fairways or use the platform for brand promotion and business engagement.

In a statement, organisers said the tournament is designed to create value beyond sport by bringing together decision-makers and professionals in an informal but structured environment that encourages partnerships and deal-making.

“The NPS Golf Day is more than a sporting event; it is a platform that connects business, community and sport,” said Ngezi Platinum Stars chief executive officer Amanda Lieto-Nyanzero. “We look forward to welcoming both returning and new partners as we continue building meaningful relationships that extend beyond the fairways.”

Last year’s inaugural edition attracted strong participation from corporate players and mining stakeholders in the Mhondoro-Ngezi corridor, setting the tone for what the club now hopes will become an annual tradition on Zimbabwe’s sporting and business calendar.

With the 2026 edition expected to draw a wider field, organisers say preparations are underway to improve logistics, increase participation capacity and enhance the overall experience for both golfers and corporate guests.
