Let’s unite, focus on national development, Zanu-PF affiliates urged

MWANAWEVHU Culture Association for Economic Development a ZANU-PF affiliate has urged other party affiliates to unite and focus on national development.
Addressing media at the launch of Mwanawevhu Culture Association 4ED on Friday in Masvingo, Duncan Shereni National Vice Chairperson for Mwanawevhu Culture Association 4ED said it was important for ZANU-PF affiliates to concentrate on rebuilding and developing the party and the nation.
“It’s now time for a new mindset. A mindset that is geared for peace and development. Let’s stop talking about which affliate is better than the other rather lets try to concentrate on what we can do to bring development in our country.
“Every individual has a past and we’ll never benefit anything from dwelling on the past. We want to preach peace and development within ZANU-PF and be a good example to other affiliates. Let’s show other parties that we’re an organised group of people who don’t have time for violence, back biting and hating one another,” said Shereni.
He said President Mnangagwa has clearly advised ZANU-PF affiliates not to treat other affiliates like enemies but rather work in hand to meet the national development strategy.
“We’re all ZANU-PF organs and belonging to different affiliates which doesn’t make us enemies. It simply makes us one great family with different strategies on how to develop our country.
“People with different views can still work together and make their country prosper.
“Hating other people will never bring food on our tables and it will never make us better people. Let’s show each other love, supporting up-and-coming affiliates to meet President Mnangagwa’s 2030 vision. Let’s build a better future and be proud of ourselves one day,” said Shereni.
Mwanawevhu Culture Association Chairlady Ashleigh Zingoni, was happy for the revival of traditional culture that the First lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa is implementing.
“I was happy to read about the resuscitation of eating traditional foods which we did during old days and the practice of Zimbabwean culture. This is a positive development and as the country we look forward to the revival of harnessesing our heritage and being proud of our culture so that we go back to our status as the country’s cultural hub.
“This is possible if we stop concentrating on things that we can’t change. We can change our future. Let’s therefore work together and make our country better than what it is now,” said Zingoni.
The recently launched Zanu-PF affiliate aims to promote cultural identity, address social issues, foster community cohesion and support national development including the President Mnangagwa’s mantra of vision 2030.
This comes after the First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa is on the drive to implement cultural norms and values of the country. To shun all forms of social challenges including suicide, drug abuse and early child marriages.
