HAVENHILL Academy will host a free Career Open Day, aimed at helping aspiring accountants better understand the ACCA qualification and the opportunities it offers locally and internationally on 12 June.
The event will be held at Nexus Hall, First Floor, Batanai Gardens Mall, at the corner of First Street and Jason Moyo Avenue in Harare. Proceedings begin at 2 pm and end at 5 pm.
Havenhill Academy, a Gold accredited ACCA training centre based in Harare’s central business district, said the event is open to school leavers, university students, working professionals and parents interested in learning more about the globally recognised accounting qualification.
The programme will feature ACCA Zimbabwe country head Takesure Famba, Public Accountants and Auditors Board member Dr Tagarira Mutenga, and leadership coach Noah Mangwarara.
Organisers said the event is designed to give participants practical insight into professional accountancy, career development and the realities of pursuing the ACCA qualification.
Havenhill Training and Consulting principal officer Partson Nyatanga said the open day is part of efforts to make professional accountancy information more accessible to young Zimbabweans.
“The exams are just one part of it. We want people to understand the whole journey,” Nyatanga said.
He said ACCA remains one of the world’s most recognised accountancy qualifications, with members able to work in more than 180 countries without rewriting professional examinations.
To qualify as a Chartered Certified Accountant, candidates must complete examinations, an ethics module and a Practical Experience Requirement.
