THERE is no competition between Zanu-PF’s affiliates as they complement each other in the drive to garner the vision 2030 of living no one behind under President ED Mnangagwa.
Addressing media at the launch of Mwanawevhu Culture 4ED on Friday in Masvingo Province, the Mwanawevhu National Founding Chairperson Ashleigh Zingoni said no one should left behind, everyone is needed in the affliate.
Zanu-PF Masvingo Province affiliates include Nurses4ED, Farmers4ED, Young Women4ED, Vendors4ED, Arts & Talent4ED, Pastors4ED, Mapostori 4ED, War Veterans Association and Councillors4ED.
She said the ruling party is targeting to complement “Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo” President Mnangagwa’s mantra and therefore the need to welcome everyone willing to support such initiative through culture ensures a resounding victory on national development.
“There is no competition between other affiliates. We work to complement each other in our drive to garner President Mnangagwa’s vision 2030. We want empowered associates and other affiliates that push for both national and personal developments of the country,” she said.
Mrs Zingoni said the association has witnessed a proliferation of groups, coming in the form of cultured people aiming to develop the country using their talents.
“However, we want these groups and talented people to be formalised. Everyone willing to be in Mwanawevhu Culture 4ED should register to their nearly district offices in each province.
“We want to groom talent at a tender age and support those dreamers to achieve their dreams.”
Zingoni said each provincial leadership has an obligation to support and nurture talent be it cultural, arts, sports and entertainment not to shun them.
“The provincial leadership will be there to supervise and guide. I urge you to have membership registers as we go towards achieving national development strategy 1.
“This is one of the main reasons why I am here. Mwanawevhu Culture 4ED is purely voluntary, and people continue to join us because they are attracted by President ED efforts.
“Together if we work in hand we shall bring back our culture, as we are against early child marriages, drug and substance abuse among other social challenges,” said Zingoni.
She said the association is prepared to support society in their socio-political economic development programmes.
“Let’s encourage all provinces to rope in new members and not fish from within. We will award the province that registers the highest number of new members to the association. In our business let’s remember to use our hands and our minds to shape our destiny,” said Zingoni.
She said the party is going to launch cultural events, arts and entertainment programme led by association’s National Coordinator Adonia Maphosa that will guide all Zimbabweans who have what it takes to support cultural heritage using their talent.
“Over the years, we have witnessed the erosion of culture in our country. Zimbabweans have pure talent that once supported will stamp our regional status. No one should left behind. Actors, musicians, carpenters, traditional leaders to mention but a few are born within our preserved culture,” she said.
National Coordinator Adonia Maphosa commended other affiliates for turning out in large numbers to support their launch of Mwanawevhu Culture 4ED.
“Thank you for coming in large numbers, it is a sign that we are driving in the right direction. We highly value all affiliates for the tremendous work they are doing. They are moving with the President’s daily word of leaving no one and no place behind,” he said.
The recently launched Zanu-PF affiliate aims to promote cultural identity, address social issues, foster community cohesion and support national development including the President Mnangagwa’s mantra of vision 2030.
